I started my career working full-time while earning an MBA. As I climbed the ladder of corporate America, I repeatedly observed a surprising phenomenon: the most successful people weren’t necessarily the ones with the highest IQ or best job skills.
Instead, career advancement was much more closely linked with how people applied their knowledge and talents — their capacity to collaborate, communicate, and influence others.
Armed with this knowledge, I developed an ability to pinpoint the pivotal attributes that could make or break one's career, and was able to convey that information to colleagues, subordinates, and even superiors in a compassionately candid way.
Despite reaching an executive position in operations with a major company, I realized that helping others to maximize their career potential was my true passion.
Today through my online leadership courses, workshops, books, and keynotes, I give leaders the tools and insights they need to take back control of what gets their time and attention and reconnect with the feeling that comes with igniting fires, not just putting them out.
